Gallery 120 would like to welcome our featured artist for January 2021, Flo Siemsen. Read on to learn more about her and her work which will be on display throughout January at Gallery 120.

FLO SIEMSEN

BIOGRAPHY Flo Siemsen began her photography career in Long Island, New York, where she quickly became a well-known and sought-after photographer. Her photos have been featured in galleries, television, newspapers and magazines.

Of her many accomplishments as a professional photographer, her work was featured in the Women of the World Art and Photography Exhibition at Long Island University in 2014 and 2015, she was the official photographer for the Long Island Press’ "Top 100 Most Influential People on Long Island” in 2015, and she was named one of the "Top 50 Female Photographers of Long Island of 2015.

From a very young age, she was drawn to both art and photography. In 2012, after a life-changing layoff from her full-time job, Flo’s husband gifted her with a camera to lift her spirits. That gift became the start of Flo’s venture into the life of a professional photographer.

She sees the beauty in everything, and her main focus is creating something beautiful out of simplicity. In addition to her talent for photographing people, and special occasions, she is also an accomplished landscape and nature photographer. Her love of nature has taken her from the docks and ocean-viewed sunsets of Long Island to the waterfalls of the Carolinas. She now resides in South Carolina.
